Hormone Therapy & (Peri)Menopause Care

Having symptoms of perimenopause or menopause? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it without support.

Perimenopause and menopause symptoms can range from annoying to life-disrupting, yet most medical providers receive very little training in menopause care. That’s why I became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner—so I could provide women with access to informed, evidence-based, compassionate treatment.

Women deserve to be heard, respected, and empowered to make decisions about their bodies. Hormone therapy is effective, but it is not one-size-fits-all. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can be life-changing for many women, but it isn’t the best choice for everyone. My role is to help you understand the evidence, evaluate your symptoms and goals, and partner with you to find the safest, most effective treatment plan.

If labs are needed or desired, we’ll start there—then we’ll create a personalized plan together.

Frequently asked questions

Who is menopausal hormone therapy for?

This service is for women in perimenopause or menopause who want an individualized discussion of symptoms, goals, medical history, risk factors, and hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options.

Do I need lab testing before starting care?

Not always. Labs can be helpful in select situations, but menopause care often starts with symptoms, menstrual history, health risks, and treatment goals rather than a single hormone level.

Is telehealth available?

Yes. Telehealth visits are available for appropriate patients located in Washington and Utah, with in-person access available through the Gig Harbor practice location when needed.

Does Awaken Women's Health accept insurance?

Awaken Women's Health is a cash-pay practice. You may use your HSA funds, and you can still use insurance for many labs and medications. A superbill can be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Clinical grounding

Care discussions are informed by clinical training, patient goals, and current guidance from menopause-focused organizations.

To provide the personalized, unrushed care I believe every patient deserves, I do not accept insurance at this time. You can still use your insurance for lab tests and medications, and I will provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you wish.
